Help prepare salads for the tortoises, lizards, and the other fruit and veggie-loving friends in Heckscher WILD! Space for this program is limited to 20 children, ages 5 and up. Pequot Library Program: Alex Beyer on Piano

Alex Beyer and friends will perform three different concerts at Pequot Library this summer. All concerts are on Thursday evenings starting at 7:30pm, on June 25; July 9; and August 20, 2015. The series begins with Alex Beyer on piano and Eliza Fath on cello performing Cello Sonatas of Beethoven and Debussy. On July 9 Beyer performs Solo works of Bach, Chopin, Prokofiev, Ravel, before closing the series on August 20 where Beyer is joined by pianist Alan Murchie for 2 Piano Works of Mendelssohn and Rachmaninoff. Tickets are $25 in advance/$30 at the door or save by purchasing tickets to all 3 concerts for $60, at pequotlibrary.org or in person. All three concerts will be held in Pequot Library's Auditorium/Concert Hall and proceeds help support Pequot Library's over 450 annual programs for all ages.

Sundays, July 5 through October 11, 10am – 2pm Many of the previous vendors are returning and we've added some new vendors to offer a wider variety of items. We'll be selling our very own farm-fresh eggs from our chickens on Heckscher Farm, maple syrup made in our own Maple Sugar House, and wool from our sheep. There will be weekly farm-related family activities with our "Market Madness" program led by one of our environmental educators. Additionally, a different food truck will be on site each week to allow visitors a chance to purchase lunch to enjoy at one of our picnic tables by the Bendel Pond.
