10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Members of the 14th Connecticut Infantry reenactment unit will be setting up camp on the Historical Society's grounds. They will simulate the living conditions of Union soldiers, drill, and offer firing demonstrations to give visitors a sense of what members of the Union army- including men from Wilton- had to endure. The event will also feature an afternoon lecture by Wilton High School's own Bryan Caswell, a senior who will be attending Gettysburg College next year to pursue his passion for American history. There is no charge for attendance, although guests are welcome to make donations either to the Historical Society or to battlefield preservation. Food and drink will be available for sale on site.
