With Long Island Sound as a backdrop, area residents can enjoy free musical entertainment for all ages throughout the summer. Just pack a picnic and comfortable seating then head for Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk for the First County Bank Summer Concert Series. This year, tribute bands will be featured during the weekly concerts on Wednesday evenings (rain date is the following night). A $5.00 parking fee is charged for cars without a Norwalk beach sticker.  A classic car show begins at 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.  The Responders – Dressed in 60's Mod attire, this group performs rock favorities from the British Invasion, Motown and more.

On September 9,10, and 11, 2011 the Greenwich Harbor Yacht Showcase will take place at  Delamar Greenwich Harbor.  One of the most prestigious boutique yacht shows in the northeast the weekend kicks off with a preview party, Friday September 9, 6-8PM to benefit Audubon and its efforts to protect and restore the Long Island Sound.  The showcase continues Saturday, September 10 from 10AM to 6PM and Sunday, September 11 from 11AM to 5PM.  Rereshments from top area restaurants available for purhcase.  Check the websiite for tickets to the preview party.
