Join us for an afternoon of learning about farm animals and farming with former Connecticut resident Chris Rowlands, an entertainer who's famous for getting everyone involved.  Children are invited to wear fun hats and sing along with Rowlands on stage as he shares his self- penned songs such as "Cud Chewing," a tribute to cows. Presented in partnership the Fairfield County Farm Bureau.

18th Annual Weston Memorial Day Road Race/Town Festivities

On Saturday, May 28, 2011 starting at 8:30AM the 18th Annual Weston Memorial Day Road Race will take place starting at the Weston High School.  Online registration is $20 and is strongly encouraged.  Day of race registration available for $25 beginning at 7AM. T-shirts and goody bags for the first 500 registered racers.  Cash prizes for top Male and Female finishers.  This USATF-certified course winds through a scenic residential and historic district in Weston and marks the beginning of the town's annual Memorial Day weekend festivities that include an old fashioned fair on Saturday and Sunday and end with a parade and ceremony honoring our veterans on Monday.

Pick your favorite spot along Rowayton Avenue or McKinley Street and cheer for our veterans, Brien McMahon and Roton School marching bands, our commissioners, volunteer firefighters, Little Leaguers, Scouts and all the many other enthusiastic marchers (even four-footed ones!). After the parade, join fellow residents at Veteran's Cannon to honor those who died in their service to our country.
