Come and spend a truly fun and frightful evening at the Zoo featuring an “Urban Legends” Hayride, Haunted Farmyard, Gruesome Greenhouse, and magic show by Jim Sisti. Tickets also include FREE face painting, and of course, CANDY! Don’t miss this frighteningly good time! Admission is $8 peer person in advance, $10 per person at the gate. Event recommended for children ages 6-12, however, some of the “scarier” activities of the evening may be better suited for children ages 8+.

Adults and children should bring their flashlights to enjoy a night spotting scavenger hunt along the boardwalk trail and raft trips onto the pond.WNC naturalists and student volunteers will be bringing out some of the resident animals.Between activities, participants can warm themselves by a roaring fire in the pavilion and enjoy S'mores. This will be a howling good time for all ages! Families can register to arrive at 5, 5:30, 6 or 6:30 pm. Those coming earlier will be able to leave after the wolf presentation while those arriving later will do most of the other activities after watching the wolf presentation. The wolf presentation will take place from 6:45 – 7:30 pm for both sessions. The rain date is Sunday, October 28rd with sessions from 12, 12:30, 1, and 1:30, with the wolf presentation at 2:00 pm.The cost per family for this fundraiser is $40 (individuals are $20 each) and reservations are necessary as space is limited.

On Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 from 6-8PM at the Fairfield Museum and History Center the Legends & Hauntings Lantern Tour will be held.  Get chilled to the bone on this walking tour that explores haunting legends and folklore as night descends.  Hear about body snatching in the cemetery, ghost legends at the Tavern and stand on the site where wary townsfolk tested alleged witches in the 17th century.  Pre registration required.  $8 per person.
