The Nutmeg Connections – Eating during the Seafaring Era menu will feature:. Seafood Chowder, Country Pork with Green Sauce, Wethersfield Onion Shortcake, Cranberry Chutney, Soft Molasses Cakes Classes are held on Saturday afternoon, from 12pm to 3pm. We limit each class to 12 students and the cost is $95 per person. Also, at all our classes, students take home their Harvest Kitchen apron and receive a copy of recipes and related educational material.

We'll have stations dedicated to amphibians, insects, reptiles, mammals and birds at which we'll examine wild and preserved specimens. At our seed station, we'll dissect seeds to learn how they grow. And, at our science station, we'll make and launch our own alka seltzer rockets. Every station will have themed activities or crafts to bring each topic to life. $5 per person at this family-friendly event.

Ages 3 and older. 2-3 pm Show Me A Tale -  "How Night Came: a Brazilian folk tale" At the beginning of time, the daughter of the Great Sea Serpent used shadows from the depths of the ocean to create night. Create sculptures in the Afro-Brazilian ferramentaria style (metal-smithing). Ages 5 and older. Limit 20 children.
