Kids will get a chance to dig into a variety of activities, including making bread and churning butter; soap making; tin punching; dying T-shirts with natural materials such as onion skins; woodworking; paper marbling; Colonial cookery; and more! 10 am - 4 pm. In this five-day intensive, participants will learn various techniques for creating and printing drypoint plates by combining aspects of papermaking and etching. Participants will then discuss the virtues of various papers and how they alter and inform the printing process. Chine collé and multiple-plate printing will also be demonstrated and participants will have the opportunity to test everything they have learned.
