8th Annual Hecksher Farm Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 7, 10 am – noon. Let the hunt begin on Heckscher Farm! Children ages six and younger can bring their own baskets and hunt for the hundreds of eggs that will be hidden all over the farm. Eggs will be distributed throughout the two-hour event. At the end of the hunt, eggs may be turned in for a goody bag. Parents and older children are welcome to come along. The gates to the farm will not open until 10 am. Also at 10 am – 1 pm – Excellent Eggs at Overbrook. After you have hunted for your eggs on Heckscher Farm, stop by the Overbrook Nature Center to learn about other spring eggs! Discover the special eggs of salamanders and why bird eggs come in different shapes and colors. We’ll have ongoing self-guided crafts and at 12:30 join us for a live “Egg-laying Animals” class to meet a chicken, snake and more. All Activities: Members Free/Non-Members: Free with gate admission.
