Sundays, July 6  - 2 pm,  Come for a self-guided craft on the Meadow, oxen demonstrations, and lunch with Bert & Edie, North American River Otters, each week. At 11:30 am, "Follow Your Food" by learning where some of your favorite foods come from through live animal visits, cooking experiences, and take-home plantings. Get an SM&NC Farm Journal and discover the "Mystery Food of the Week" by learning each week about an ingredient featured at the market. Get a stamp in your journal and use multi-stamped journals to win a prize. All activities are weather related except for otter feeding. 10 am - 2 pm  Self-guided craft, 10:30 am Oxen Demonstration, 11:30 am Follow Your Food, 1 pm Otter Feeding Demonstration. J. Toth Quest catamaran will take participants on a up close, two and a half hour cruise of the Norwalk Islands.

Come by and discover what it takes to be a farmer on Heckscher Farm. Each week farm staff will pick an activity to show the diversity of farm life and how we care for our animals and the environment. We will be conducting hands-on programs for all ages. Programs will include milking, grooming, caring for baby animals, and more. Program is weather permitting and will last 30-45 minutes.
