April 3, 2016-- GARY LICHTENSTEIN AT CCP--Sunday, 1pm - Collector's Talk--2pm - Juror's Comments and Awards. Gary has been dedicated to the medium of screen printing and committed to the idea of artistic collaboration, with a stable of over 90 artists. At 1:00pm, Gary will discuss his stable of artists and his collection. At 2:00pm, Gary will provide Juror's comments and will announce awards. Lichtenstein founded San Francisco-based SOMA Fine Art in 1978, in order to provide artists with an environment where partnerships would be both cultivated and encouraged to flourish. At that time, public interest in the work of artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein were helping to define and drive the market for screen prints.

In honor of Earth Day, the Bruce Museum Seaside Center is offering an Earth Day Month Celebration at Greenwich Point Park from 1:30 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, to kick off the town's month-long observance of all things environmental. The festivities begin when Town of Greenwich officials join Conservation Commission members and staff to announce a proclamation supporting healthy air, land and water. The Bruce Museum Seaside Center has organized ongoing family activities and a series of 15-minute presentations throughout the afternoon by environmental groups

Fabulous Finds will take place on the first Friday of every month and up to five items from Pequot Library's treasure trove of rare books and manuscripts will be revealed and opened from a sealed box!
