These informal, 20- to 30-minute docent-led gallery tours will focus on exhibition highlights, themes, and background stories that provide a framework for better understanding the art and objects on display. Docents will also answer questions and help you zero in on particular points of interest. These value-added tours are included in the price of admission.

Rowayton Ladrigan Swim Races & Family Fun Day


Bayley Beach, Rowayton, CT

10:30 am. Celebrate the end of the summer season with the annual Arthur J. Ladrigan Swim Races and Family Fun Day at Bayley Beach on Saturday, September 3rd of Labor Day weekend. We'll start with the Lighthouse Race at 10:30am sharp (a one-mile swim from Green's Ledge Lighthouse to shore). Check-in for Lighthouse Race swimmers and their kayak escorts will start at 9:30am. Following the Lighthouse Race is the Buoy Race (a swim from the buoy to the shore). Last are the children's swim races, which are grouped by age and run parallel to the beach. After the awards ceremony, all are invited to join in the traditional beach games which include a tug-of-war, a pie-eating contest and an egg toss.

Housatonic Museum of Art - Scrolls: Joe Zucker Opening Reception
