The Competition is held annually on a rotating basis in voice, strings and piano and is a springboard for the careers of extraordinarily talented musicians. The Heida Hermanns International Music Competition is dedicated to the discovery of the most promising musicians between the ages of 19-30. Founded in 1972 by famous pianist, teacher and philanthropist, Heida Hermanns, the Competition will present its 44th edition on November 21-22, 2015 at First Church Fairfield in Fairfield, Connecticut USA. This meeting place has warmth, beauty and extraordinary acoustics. Though spacious, the church lends itself to musical presentations with remarkable intimacy.
