Our quest includes a welcome back to migrating birds, calling peepers and skunk cabbage. The trail is a flat, one-mile loop where we'll roll logs in search of insects and salamanders too. Norwalk Slow Art Day

The Norwalk Arts Commission, in partnership with the Maritime Aquarium, is one of more than 100 organizations around the world participating in Slow Art Day. The Norwalk event will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Maritime Aquarium. Facilitators will guide participants in their exploration of two Alexander Rummler WPA murals --- "Days End" and "Shucking Oysters" --- along with a small sketch the artist did to secure final approval for one of his paintings. Guides will also share several recently discovered historic photographs from the 1930's used by Rummler in his work. Conversation about the art will continue over a light lunch at the Aquarium.
