The Derby Historical Society is a proud participant of Connecticut Open House Day. Step back in time and join us for the Connecticut Open House Day celebration at the General David Humphreys House on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 12 pm to 4 pm. There will be tours of the museum and historic district, demonstrations of colonial crafts and skills, and much more. Members of the 6th CT will be joining us and will demonstrate musket firing during the event. We will also be opening our newest addition, an on-site building that houses "Derby Junction", a layout depicting the cities of Ansonia, Derby, and Shelton @ 1918. This wonderful item was donated to us by Mr. Benjamin Bacon in 2001. Admission to this event is free. Along with the Train Layout, please be sure to check out our new Colonial Gardens. Suggested donation for tours is $5.00.
