7:30 p.m. (Norwalk) and Tues., July 4 at 7 p.m. (Rowayton). Avoid the crowds and experience one of the best views of local Fourth of July fireworks displays when you celebrate our nation's birthday aboard R/V Spirit of the Sound. Join us as we watch the fireworks of Norwalk on July 3 and Rowayton on July 4 in these cruises, which are expected to last 3 hours. No lawn chairs to lug. No trees in the way. Get back to the dock with no traffic to sit in! Food & drink is not available for purchase on the boat. You may bring food and beverages in a small bag or soft-sided cooler. Glass bottles are prohibited. Reminder that all passengers must be over 42 inches tall.

Other performances pay tribute to Beach Boys, Phil Collins, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Chicago and Neil Diamond. Popular regional rock & roll bands for classic car shows include Tim Currie's Motown Band Revue.

Rowayton Fireworks


Bayley Beach, Rowayton, CT

9:15 pm Bayley Beach. Rowayton Fireworks will light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach Tuesday evening, July 4. The fireworks, sponsored by the RCA, will be launched from a barge beginning at 9:15pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes. Rowayton will have their rescheduled show on July 5 if Norwalk has not had their July 3 show cancelled. If Norwalk's show has been cancelled, and Rowayton's show is cancelled, Rowayton will have their show on July 6 and Norwalk will have theirs on July 5.

New Canaan Family 4th of July Celebration

The 37th Annual Family Fourth of July Celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Waveny Park (raindate of Wednesday, July 5- Fireworks Only). The late day activities will include: family picnicking, live music, children's games area, food court, and a spectacular fireworks display. A complete program of the day's activities will be published in the New Canaan Advertiser. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking and may be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall, and by New Canaan residents online at The Family Fourth of July Celebration is made possible entirely through contributions from New Canaan residents, the business community, and local civic organizations. A community mailing will be sent out in late May with additional information about the event and where to purchase passes. The 2017 pass fee is expected to be $35 for residents.
