Instructor: Carol Levine Continuing Education instructor at the New York Botanical Garden This class is an introduction to the identification of native trees in their winter state found locally in the northeast United States. An indoor workshop will provide students with winter twigs, fruits, and plant remnants to be used to examine their structural features. Emphasis will placed on the use of taxonomic keys to make identifications. Printed material will be provided and photographic slides will also be shown. An outdoor walk on the Bartlett property will follow the class.
