Interested in joining the Newtown Historical Society as a docent? Why not attend our next educational seminar. Topic is costumes and will be held Saturday, April 12th. We are excited to welcome Adrienne Saint Pierre, Curator of the Barnum Museum, as she presents the program "Costume in Context: A Close Look at 18th Century American Dress with Hints on Making Good Reproductions". Adrienne has been working in historic clothing and textiles for 30 years and has made a number of exact reproductions, including two copies of Emily Dickenson's only extant dress, commissioned by the Emily Dickinson Homestead in Amherst, MA. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Location of the seminar will be given upon registration.
