ENCOUNTERS WITH THE ANGELS--Jim Turner has studied angelology for many years, including training with the renowned Doreen Virtue. Come and hear Jim speak—you will love his presentation, including personal stories of angelic encounters, and his suggestions for how we too can find illumination through the angels. Our worship service begins at 4 pm on the labyrinth. Angel class follows at 5 pm. ($15/person). Mr. Turner will offer an angel card reading ($10/reading) to the first eight people registered!

Jazz in the Garden returns featuring the Dan Brubeck Quartet on Sunday, September 20, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and hosted by Weir Farm National Historic Site, Jazz in the Garden receives generous support from Bankwell of Wilton and the Karen and William Tell Foundation, with special thanks to Catherine and Ed Romer. Proceeds benefit the Artist-in-Residence program administered by the Weir Farm Art Center, which draws talented artists from around the world, giving them a chance to create in the inspirational landscape of Weir Farm National Historic Site.     

No tickets will be sold at Weir Farm National Historic Site. Purchase your ticket online at www.jazzatweir.com or at the Branchville Elementary School the day of the event beginning at 2:00 pm. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted. Adult tickets are $20.Tickets for teens 13-18 are $10. Children 12 and under are free. As usual the concert will go on rain or shine. All parking for the event will be at the Branchville Elementary School at 40 Florida Road, off of Rt. 102, Branchville Road, across from Ancona's Wines & Liquors in Ridgefield. Free shuttles will run to and from Weir Farm National Historic Site continuously between 2:00 and 6:00 PM. No parking is available at Weir Farm National Historic Site or along neighborhood residential roads.

11:00 a.m. We will stop at one of the Bartlett's honeybee hives where Backyard Beekeepers Association member and Advanced Master Gardener Cheryl Carter will discuss honey making, colony collapse disorder, and give us lots of fun bee facts. This is an excellent tour for younger children as well as adults. The tour should last approximately 45 minutes. Meet in front of the Silver Education Center at 11 a.m.
