All ages are welcome at WNC's Family Wreath Making Days. The cost is $45 per wreath with an additional $10 discount on the first wreath for anyone who attended a Celebrate & Decorate Night. Use a wonderful array of natural materials and a few fun kid friendly pieces mixed in, you will leave with a beautiful balsam holiday wreath. Family Day is an open house. Pay at the door; no reservation or pre-purchase is required (however, if you are planning to come with a large group, please contact WNC ahead of time so we can plan space and materials accordingly). Wilton Historical Society Mercury Glass Votive Workshop for Kids

11 am - 12:30 pm. In this fun and festive workshop, kids ages 6 – 12 will use paint to make shiny mercury glass votives. While making their votives, Lola Chen, Museum Educator, will talk with the children about the origins of mercury glass, which was originally created as a replacement for sterling silver, and contains neither silver nor mercury. 3 pm Experience our birds of prey outside their enclosures during this bird-on-glove demonstration where you can learn all about some of our magnificent raptors. First Sunday of every month. Essential Business of Birds December 4th, 2pm — 4pm Play a significant role in the care and enrichment of our resident raptors and songbirds. Explore issues impacting area birds and join our Naturalists in caring for the birds of Earthplace by decorating environments, making toys, or trimming beaks, among other activities. Those who meet a minimum number of participation hours and demonstrate sutiable skill may work with some of our birds of prey. Participants may join at any time and fees will be prorated.

Then follow Santa and friends up Bedford Street to Latham Park for an evening of holiday music with the Cast of Elf JR. from Saxe Middle School and join in the countdown of the annual lighting of Stamford's Holiday Tree.

11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Six historic houses all built before 1850, and the Adams Academy, Westport's first school, will be on view with festive seasonal décor. To recognize this special 30th anniversary, each home was carefully selected for its architectural merit and interesting stories. Each house has been preserved to retain its period style facing the street, while the backs have been " blown out" to create kitchens and living spaces that modern families require. Careful attention has also been paid to preserving and recreating authentic dry stack stonewalls.
