Silvermine Arts Center One-Night Stand: Heart Bowls on the Potter's Wheel

7 pm - 9 pm. $50. Cermics Studio. Bring your date and a bottle of champagne and learn how to throw on the potter's wheel. We will start from the raw brown stoneware clay and go over all the basic skills to form the clay into a bowl. After creating the bowl an optional demo will be given in how to alter the shape of the bowl into a heart. Lastly color will be added by using tinted liquid clays called slips. Project will take approximately six weeks to be fired.
