The year is 1965. Rachel Brener is one of 3 young Mossad agents who caught “The Surgeon of Treblinca,” a Nazi monster who was never brought to trial in Israel. The official reason was that he had committed suicide as a prisoner. Surprisingly the Surgeon is alive and is willing to admit his crimes against the human race, especially the Jews. A 2011 U.S. remake of this 2007 Israeli film was released this fall in many U.S. theaters. We will be screening the original. Join us for wine, popcorn and a brief discussion following the movie. 7:00 pm Westminster biology and geology teacher Nick McDonald, who is regarded as the foremost authority on the paleontology of the Connecticut Valley, has written a new book titled "Window Into the Jurassic World." Take a giant leap back in time to visit the land of the dinosaurs. $5 suggested donation. Refreshments will be served. This program, taking place in the Hanson Exploration Station, is part of the Evening Lecture Series, sponsored by Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo Volunteer Association.

Enjoy a great spring day on the farm as we learn about the many plants and animals that call our farm home. From a soil lab and getting our hands dirty in the garden to working with wool from sheep to yarn, there will be plenty of interactive experiences. We’ll also do some make some fresh-from-the-farm favorites to take home, as well as a hands-on workshop with some of our animals. Ages 5 and up.
