"Father's Day Scavenger Hunt" at the Garden Education Center of Greenwich--Sunday, June 15th, 2014 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Go on a hike to search for the hidden stamp. Be one of the first five families to locate the stamp and win a prize!

Discover the Geography of Connecticut through our local farms and figure out how far some of our food travels. Learn to identify our local species of reptiles and amphibians through live specimens and a trail hike and meet our new spring babies on the farm. Discover what we grow in our organic vegetable garden and plant some veggies and herbs to take home to grow in yours! Limited enrollment allows for small groups. 2-4. A series of three discussion and demonstration sessions with master wildlife artist Sean Murtha, the 2013 recipient of Connecticut Audubon's prestigious Artist of the Year, Birds and Their Habitat award. Come and observe Mr. Murtha's working process as he shows his artistic techniques and discusses his methods for developing his landscape paintings. The Bruce Museum has commissioned a landscape painting for the permanent collection by Mr. Murtha. Come for this unique and special experience watching a master artist at work!
