Greater Bridgeport Symphony The Real Amadeus: An Evening in Vienna with Mozart Favorites

10/17/2015

446 University Avenue, Bridgeport, CT Phone: (203) 576-0263.

The Oct. 17 concert will represent another first. "An Evening in Old Vienna," an all-Mozart concert, will feature concertmaster Deborah Wong conducting throughout. The orchestra size for Mozart is more like a chamber orchestra (of about 35 musicians) than a typical modern orchestra of 65 to 100 players. Although common for the first violin to conduct a chamber orchestra, it has rarely, if ever, been seen at the GBS.
