Norwalk Summer Concert Series Features Classic Car Show/Elvis Remembered

On July 25, 2012    6:00 p.m.    Classic Car Show – This gathering of than 100 vehicles is hosted by the
Coachmen Rod and Custom Club, an organization of men and women who enjoy classic cars. Owners of 1981 and older cars can participate in the shows, which attract owners from throughout the tri-state area. Each car show participant is asked to contribute canned food or make a donation to the St. Vincent De Paul food bank.  7:00 p.m.    Elvis Remembered – This show recreates an actual Elvis Presley concert performed by David Devonshuk, an accomplished musician and performer who has been a drummer and vocalist in several bands over the years, covering many different types of music including, Jazz, Rock,Gospel and Country Western.

7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Head to the Observatory for a real treat to explore the night sky, planets, stars, and more! Start by enjoying a presentation on The Universe is 13.67 Billion Years Old, followed by a visit to view the night sky through our 22-inch research telescope. The presentation portion of the program will be held rain or shine. Viewing hours are weather permitting. Members: Free | Non-Members: Adults $3, Children (5-17) $2. No children under 5 please. Fridays, Through October 26, 10am – 2 pm. We're thrilled to bring back the SM&NC Friday Farm Market and have made some exciting new changes for this year. First, we're moving the Farm Market location to our lovely Meadow. We've also added some new exciting vendors to offer a larger variety of items and we'll also have a wood burning pizza truck so you can hang around and have lunch at one of our picnic tables by the Bendel Pond. Annual Summer Family Camp Out at Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Saturday, July 28 - 5:30 pm to Sunday, July 29 - 9 am. Pitch your tent, enjoy a barbeque dinner, and an evening of family fun at our Annual Summer Family Camp Out! Activities include animal programs, night sky viewing in our Observatory, and roasting marshmallows over the campfire. In the morning, enjoy a pancake breakfast featuring our very own maple syrup. It's a great experience for the whole family. Members: $100 for 1 parent/child; $35 for each additional family member, Non-Members: $140 for 1 parent/child; $35 for each additional family member.
