Tuesdays, July 22 - August 19, 2:30 – 3:15pm. Come by and discover what it takes to be a farmer on Heckscher Farm. Each week farm staff will pick an activity to show the diversity of farm life and how we care for our animals and the environment. We will be conducting hands-on programs for all ages. Programs will include milking, grooming, caring for baby animals, and more. Program is weather permitting and will last 30-45 minutes. Meet at the Chicken Coop. Wednesday, July 23 at 12:15 p.m. For this month's informal lunchtime talk, Saint-Pierre will explain that yes indeed, P.T. Barnum was a real person. His well known name, philanthropic and other "larger than life" events during the mid to late 1800s, often led people to believe that P.T. was not approachable. The Museum is the proud steward of many of Barnum's prized possessions. Come see wonderful items from his daily life including his winter coat, inkwell, eye glasses and even his wedding top hat! On July 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.  Classic Car Show – This gathering of than 100 vehicles is hosted by the
Coachmen Rod and Custom Club, an organization of men and women who enjoy classic cars. Owners of 1981 and older cars can participate in the shows, which attract owners from throughout the tri-state area. Each car show participant is asked to contribute canned food or make a donation to the St. Vincent De Paul food bank. 7:00 p.m.    The Royal Kings -- features vocalists Joey Bennett, Douglas "Ice". Dorsey, Timmy Hayes, Tommy Talercio and Richard "Cookie" Thomas. These performers have opened for headlining acts from the 50s, 60s and 70s that include The Drifters, Little Anthony, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, The Coasters, The Platters, Average White Band and the Flamingos.  They continue to perform on the Oldies Rock and Roll circuit, as well as concerts and special events, and have two CDs, "Doggin' Around" and "The Royal Kings II – Thanks To You."  Concert at the Calf Pasture Beach.  Free and open to the public.  A $5 parking fee for cards without Norwalk beach sticker.  Rain Date.  Call or check the website.
