Westport’s Jane Green, nationally bestselling author, will speak at “Books Worth Talking About,” on Wednesday, August 29, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. 203.227.4177 (box office) The literary salon will be followed by an 8 p.m. performance of the world premiere comedy, “Harbor,” written by two-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (“The Wedding Singer”) and directed by Mark Lamos, Westport Country Playhouse artistic director. Green will discuss love, parenthood, and the new, modern family, themes that are prevalent in her books as well as in “Harbor.”

Farmers' Market at the Jones Family Farms

This Friday from 3:30 to 6:30. Meet your local farmers and enjoy the best CT Grown produce and wine! Enjoy one of the best parts of summer - the fresh fruits and vegetables - at our Farmers' Market! The Jones Family Farms is teaming up with other Connecticut farmers, such as Stone Gardens of Shelton, to offer the best seasonal produce. As part of your Farmers' Market experience, you can also visit the Jones Winery for wine tastings, wine by the glass or for wine purchases. Our Farmers' Markets are special, taking place during the Fridays during July and August, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm. (During these market days, the Jones Winery will extend its hours until 6:30.) Each market will offer a wide variety of 100% CT produce from several local farms. Markets will feature a variety of CT grown products, such as honey, cheeses and/or breads. You can find our Farmers' Market in the farm's Harvest Kitchen Courtyard, adjacent to the Jones Winery. It is located at 606 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton. The Farmers' Market takes place rain or shine!  During inclement weather, we move inside to our beautiful barn.
