Norwalk Land Trust ‘Discovery Day

noon to 4 pm. Master falconer Brian Bradley brings his birds of prey to The Preserve at Farm Creek Sept. 24 for the Norwalk Land Trust's "Discovery Day," a free afternoon of fun and entertainment for the family. Bradley's one-hour demonstration of outdoor flight by falcons, hawks and other predatory birds starting at 12:30 p.m. is called "Skyhunters in Flight" and is part of four hours of activities at the 16-acre tidal estuary in Rowayton (at 34 Sammis St.). The preserve is one of 28 properties totaling nearly 100 acres under the stewardship of the NLT, all of special importance to the natural life cycle in Norwalk.

Weir Farm - National Park National Public Lands Day Volunteer Trail Improvement Event

Volunteers will assist National Park Service staff in trail maintenance, repairing the trail to the historic Weir Pond.
