PM in the Kingsley room of the Southbury Library Join Jim Parks of Wingmasters for a presentation on the different categories of birds of prey. Jim will bring five live birds including hawks, falcons, and owls. The program is designed to also explain predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptations and their status in a rapidly changing world. Because many birds of prey are declining in number, this presentation also features one of the more of the endangered raptors that Wingmasters cares for, and explains why these species face an uncertain future. Open to all ages Registration is required.
