The Exchange Club of New Canaan, in conjunction with the Silvermine Arts Center, is holding its annual wine tasting fundraiser to benefit children’s causes on behalf of both organizations. The event, to be held at the Silvermine Arts Center will have a fine selection of wines sponsored by the New Canaan Wine Merchants. A portion of the proceeds of all wine purchased at the event will benefit the children’s programs of the Exchange Club and the Silvermine Arts Center. $40 per person in advance; $50 per person at the door on the day of the event. About the Film: Born to Kill was a classic and some say archetypal film noir movie directed by Robert Wise who would go on to direct several other movies in the same genre. The notable cast included Claire Trevor who did so many film noir features that she became known as the "Queen of Film Noir," and the controversial Lawrence Tierny whose extensive film career included Reservoir Dogs. Michael Kovner is the host.
