Barnum introduced Jenny Lind, known as the Swedish Nightingale to America, where she became an unrivaled success. at 7:30 p.m., the Swedish Jenny Lind concert will be presented by The Barnum Museum at the Bijou Theater, 275 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport. One of the world's most acclaimed opera stars of all time, Jenny Lind, will come to life on stage at the historic theatre. Bridgeport will be the final venue for the Swedish Jenny Lind Competition's 2015 North American concert tour, which begins in Canada this month and travels to seven cities including Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago and Washington, D.C. The evening's program will include classic arias, Swedish folk songs and standards from the American Songbook. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $20 per person in the main theatre area and $25 per person for table seating on the mezzanine. All tickets are $25 the day of the performance.
