10 am - 4 pm. Learn the many methods of transferring photographic or print images to watercolor paper, fabric, tiles, metal, and other surfaces using b/w or color laser copies and ink jet transparencies with solvents, gels and mediums. Make original art, created by layering transparent images with paint, text, pattern, wax, gold leaf and more. Spend the first weekend experimenting with transferring your own photographs, drawings, appropriated images, and other source material in a low-tech, free-flowing way. The second weekend will be spent creating interesting backgrounds of color, pattern, texture, text and drawing to combine with your transfer images, using water-based Akua inks, chine collé and direct transfers on dry prints.

This celebration of Easton, a local farming community within Fairfield County CT, is a self-guided tour of Easton farms. This year we have moved our home base to Samuel Staples Elementary School Pavilion, 515 Morehouse Road, Easton, Connecticut. Here visitors check in to pick up the event pass and map of participating farms, farm stands, and activity locations. Enjoy old timey games, get a bite to eat while getting the details on which farms are doing what when. Why move? 10 am - 2 pm. Celebrating the anniversary of Gustave Whitehead's flight in 1901 at Turney's Farm in Fairfield. There will be a replica of Whitehead's No. 21 "Flyer" on display, and Hobbytown will be giving aerial demonstrations of remote controlled aircraft and drones. The Fairfield Flying Aces, an RC aircraft club, will also be on hand to do demonstrations. The first 50 children will receive a balsa wood model flyer to assemble and fly!
