Recycle Your Sneakers at The Bruce Museum

The Bruce Museum is taking your old sneakers. Annual sneaker collection is organized by the Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board
in conjunction with the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe program. Sneakers will be sliced, ground into rubber pellets and used to create playground and athletic surfaces. Sneakers must be dry, with or without laces, any brand. No cleats or street shoes please. 90th Annual Gala Hosted by Lions Club to Benefit The Barnum Museum and Lions Club Eyes Research Programs - Bridgeport

Learn about healthy food and local food choices including area CSAs, farmers markets, community gardens and more.  Understand how to protect our local waters and get a close-up look at the marine animals in our touch tank.  Get resources for organic lawn care and native plants.  Find out about electric and hybrid cars in our area.  Emily Hall will give two music concerts for kids.  Author Terry Golson will read her book "Tillie Lays an Egg" and introduce guests to her chickens.  Children will enjoy recycled craft activities from Educational Warehouse.  There will be food and fun for all ages.
