Stamford Museum & Nature Center - Gnomes & Fairies of the Forest Tea Party

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The SM&NC invites all gnomes and fairies of the forest to an enchanted tea party in the Bendel Mansion's Great Hall. After you have crafted a treasure pouch and enjoyed a sumptuous tea table laden with goodies, you will venture out with a magical escort to walk amongst the woodland creatures on a hunt for golden coins. Your coins may be exchanged for natural materials you will use to build your very own fairy or gnome home. Feel free to wear a costume, but as we will be out on the trails, it is important to wear sturdy sneakers rather than glass slippers! Registration is required and space is limited to 30 children and 30 adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. From goats to guinea pigs and lambs to leopard geckos, see which animals call the SM&NC home. Great for all ages!
